#30??

If the unfinished toga girl and mountains counts as 29 then this would be #30. This is a portrait of Melissa taking a nap with her baby, Alannah. I'll post a better pic when its daylight and the paint dries, the blue lines are less bright than that, its just french ultramarine.

Can I just say that this painting, out of all my paintings, the one that looks THE closest to what I saw in my mind when I set out to paint? THE CLOSEST! And I really like it. I usually draw out my lines with paint and cover it up when I do portraits but I chose to keep the outlining this time, and I took a simple approach to the painting this time. I think I often overwork things and give up. This whole painting is 4.5 hours of work.
