Update of Stuff

Well, since the dog painting I caught a cold, arranged and sent Andrew to his medical appointment in Vancouver which he came back from the next day, and am now mostly over the cold (it was sinuses and crap) and am awaiting March 24 when we fly out to Montreal for the interview. I am so ready!

It was so nice out today, but I didn't paint because there's not really anything growing in yet that I want to paint. :/ So I went shopping and got a new pencil skirt on sale for 30 bucks. Yaaaaay! I just needed to get out the house. All week I kept saying "I'm gonna paint today, I'm gonna paint today" when I was sick and then just didn't have the drive to do anything. :/ Will probably paint tomorrow then.

Totally going to see the Watchmen tomorrow night!! <3 It just looks so freakin awesome!! And speaking of comics-turned-movie, did you know Hugh Jackmen has an X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie releasing this year? OH YA! ^_^ Speaking of X-Men, I've had a wallpaper of Magneto with baby ducks on my computer for a few weeks now, its by Brandon Bird. The actual painting title is "Sir Ian". It's pretty much the best wallpaper ever.

Kinda feel bad that I don't have any drawings or paintings to give you here :/ I guess I'm a bit of a slacker there. But I will paint tomorrow, because I've actually had a little withdrawl lately.

Yesterday (Thursday, March 12) was Andrew and I's 4th wedding anniversary. :) We went to cajun bistro restaurant called The Red Piano, there were two dueling piano players, it was fun. I had a vegetarian dirty rice. Never had it without beef before, it was totally different from anything my Granny ever made. Not sure if its actually cajun then, but it was tasty. And the only vegetarian thing that wasnt a salad or appetizer. Also I ordered a Hurricane but it lacked the size and knocks-you-on-your-ass alcohol percentage that a Hurricane in a New Orleans bar actually has. The waitress brought it and I'm like ".... Hurricanes aren't supposed to fit in a tumbler..." I miss New Orleans now.

I read your post w/ interest. It is ok to not paint sometimees. It is ok to procrastinate your painting. It is ok to take lots of photos in nice weather to have as future painting reference. Contentment is happily combining life w/ painting, family , and all our other interests.

I just kinda feel guilty when I don't, I have a past of not finishing things so if I slack off too long I don't know how well I'll keep up with it over time.
